Malachi Vest Top

A simple but striking design with subtle colour work creating an understated elegance.  Malachi is knitted on circular needles, with little finishing needed,  This pattern is a great introduction to fair isle.

Knitting techniques include: Fair Isle, holding stitches and knitting in the round;
Sskpo - slip two sts together knitwise, k1, pass slipped sts over (2 sts decreased)
M1 - Knit into stitch below to create new stitch

X-Small: UK sizes 4-6, to fit approx 73cm/29″ bust (total weight 300g - Colour A, 250g, Colour B, 50g)
Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 83cm/33″ bust (total weight 300g - Colour A, 250g, Colour B, 50g)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 93cm/37″ bust (total weight 350g - Colour A, 300g, Colour B, 50g)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 102cm/41″ bust (total weight 350g - Colour A, 300g, Colour B, 50g)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 112cm/44″ bust (total weight 400g - Colour A, 350g, Colour B, 50g)

Needle size: 4mm and 4.5mm circular needles
Tension: 17sts and 24 rows to 10cm square over Stocking Stitch using 4.5mm needles using Purl Alpaca Designs’ Medium yarn.
