Cyrene Tailored Jacket Knitting Pattern

DESCRIPTION
Cyrene is a beautifully fitted, tailored jacket which can be worn with the collar turned up (as on the image) or laying flat in a more traditional way and the lapels are created within the front and stand out by using distinctive stitch pattern. The body is knitted in one piece meaning there is so little to sew up.
Knitting Techniques include:
k2tog- knit 2 together
M1 - knit into bar between sts to create new st
p2tog - purl 2 together
ssk - slip 1 knitwise, slip 1 knitwise, knit slipped sts together through back of loop
sskpo - slip 2 sts knitwise together, knit 1, pass slipped sts over.
WT - slip the next stitch, bring yarn to front, slip stitch back, turn work.

Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 83cm/33″ bust (weight 650g: 13 balls or 7.5 skeins)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 93cm/37″ bust (weight 700g: 14 balls or 8 skeins)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 102cm/40″ bust (weight 750g: 15 balls or 8.5 skeins)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 112cm/44″ bust (weight 800g: 16 balls or 9.5 skeins)Knitted on 4, 4.5 and 5mm straight needles (although circular needles are recommended due to the number of stitches)
Tension: 19 sts and 26 rows to 10 cm square over Stocking Stitch using 4.5mm needles.
Please note, correct tension must be obtained to make sure this garment fits properly. -
