DESCRIPTION
Balboa is an unusual waistcoat design, knitted on 7mm needles in a thicker yarn, it grows quickly and the constant shaping and edge pattern makes it both interesting and fun to knit. The short-row shaping technique ensures the garment fits into the small of your back and each row includes the blackberry stitch border giving textured detail to the collar and edge. Balboa's shape is extremely flattering and can be fastened at the front with a broach, button or pin to give an extra indication of the hour-glass figure.
Knitting techniques include: short row shaping, K1, p1, k1 all into 1 st, p3tog, stitch markers
Photographed in colours Alpaca Night (black) and Alpaca Light (ivory).
Balboa waistcoat is knitted in Purl Alpaca Medium Yarn
