Chunky: 20 sts and 29 rows on 8 mm needles over a 10 cm square
We recommend always knitting a tension square to check your tension against the pattern you are working from and adjust needle size accordingly.Yarn Colour:
This yarn is a blend of our herd's fleece and Falklands Islands Merino fibre (all under 26 microns). The yarn is not dyed and all the colours are completely natural. Due to our yarn being completely natural colours there will be a variation in the different batches made depending on what colour fleece goes into each particular blend.Yarn Softness:
Our yarn is created using alpaca fleeces sourced mainly from our own herd of alpacas and a friend's animals that live locally. So we know the alpacas are looked after well. We only use the finest fibre for our yarn and create a stunning and soft end product that is lovely to knit with and feels amazing to wear!Yarn Thickness:
Our yarn comes in three thicknesses; Fine, Medium and Chunky. Fine is equivalent to Sports weight (this thickness is in between 4 ply and DK) and Medium is a Worsted weight (this thickness lies between DK and Aran) and the Chunky yarn is double the thickness of our Fine yarn.
Alpacas come in 23 different registered colours from ice white to midnight black.
As a new product, we look forward to hearing your feed back!
