North vs South in knitwear – it’s a draw!

We have now returned from Harrogate and are slowly settling into our day to day lives again. We had an amazing time in Harrogate this year, we always do, but this year felt a bit special. They moved the show a week later and I think Harrogate is about the only place in the world where Christmas in November is acceptable! The lights are on, it’s cold and it really feels like the holiday season can start!

We had loads of fun, even when setting up the stand. Although Karen didn’t think it was that much fun on day 4…

Karen says her arms hurt…

The Harrogate show was as always full of fabulous stalls! We are loving the atmosphere of the show and Harrogate itself is just about the only place that can get away with Christmas in November! Everything looks so pretty and it definitely puts us in the holiday spirit!

The stalls at the show are also fabulous! There is a great range of various crafts as well as some stunning galleries and exhibitions. And the place itself is beautiful too!

Our evenings were spent in a lovely little town house complete with cat (although she was a little crazy!) and we made the most of the home comforts cooking nice dinners and putting our feet up.

Knitting and Strictly… oh the rock’n’roll life!

Before the show we had asked if Harrogate could beat London’s 12 finished customer projects, and you all sure tried! It was very exciting and a tight race and believe it or not, it was a draw! Both cities turned out 12 beautiful finished garments and it was a joy to see them all! Next up is Olympia in March, how many will we get there?

This outfit looks spectacular! Balboa in Earth.
Bibi came on 2 days, first day wearing the Persephone Cardigan.

Bibi’s second outfit was her freestyle version of Glacier cardigan.

Thank you all so much for showing us your finished knits! It is a joy to see you all wearing your handmade garments with such pride and looking so fabulous. It might just be our favourite part of running this business!

Take care,

Tracy & Kari-Helene xxx
