Knitting and Stitching our way through autumn

Autumn is always a busy time for us, not at least because of the Knitting and Stitching Shows. We attend the show in London in October and then the Harrogate one in November.

Alexandra Palace was as busy as ever, but they seem to have made the aisles wider which made for easier browsing and moving. We had also opted for a slightly larger stand and were feeling a bit less like we were in the middle of a rugby scrum.

Our new designs went down a treat and the Icon dress was definitely the big star of the London show.
We love how many people enjoy trying on samples, choosing colours and seeing what suits them the best. This way we hope you will be happy with the finished result. We have already had one happy customer send us photos of her daughter wearing Icon!

The view from Alexandra Palace is spectacular and this was the view that greated us one day after 8 hours spent inside the hall.

In November we headed north to Harrogate. The drive up was pretty grey and miserable, but Kari-Helene was on a mission to find beauty in the misery and took these photos on the journey.

The Harrogate show was lovely, it has such an intimate and fantastic atmosphere. We meet so many regular customers here and it is always nice to see some returning customers wearing their knitted garments! Here are two of them, respectively wearing Duchess and Bjelle. We think they both look fabulous!

At both shows we have had the pleasure of having the lovely Bronwen with us on the stand. She has been such a help to us and we consider her such an asset to the company. She knows our products so well and provides amazing advice to customers about to embark on a Purl Alpaca Designs project. Thank you, Bron! (Bron is wearing Alexis Gloves and Lacey Scarf in the picture).

We really enjoy these shows, it is so nice to meet and talk to your customers and not only deal with the back end of a website. We are only sorry we are not doing another one until Unravel in February. See you there?

Seems like you had a fantastic time at the two venues. It must be very gratifying to see customers wearing their finished projects. I eventually finished Duchess and must send you a picture.

It is lovely to see the finished results. We would love to have a photo of you in your Duchess, Pauline!
