New addition to the Purl Alpaca herd
Message from Isadora
When I was born, it was touch and go whether I would make it. After desperate measures to keep me here, I decided I might as well give this thing called ‘life’ a go and after a week in intensive care, became strong enough to be outside with my mother, Fabyanne. She loved being back on grass and showed me how to run fast and roll in the dust bowl. Like her, my ears were a bit bent and had to be taped in place for a couple of days and also like her, I was being bottle fed. When that happened, she’d lick the dribbles from the side of my mouth which I think was a comfort to both of us. I’m strong enough to feed properly now and although it took me a week to do what most baby alpacas achieve in their first hour, I’m bright as a button and loving every minute.
