A nice day out in Cambridge!
On Sunday Kari-Helene traveled by train to Cambridge to join Tracy and take part in the Fashion show and market arranged by Plurabelle Books as part of the Cambridge Fashion and Beauty weekend. There was also going to be a “Retro Ride” where anyone could partake in half an hour fashionable cycle trip around Cambridge. It all sounded like a lovely day out and we are not the ones to easily say no!
When Kari-Helene arrived in Cambridge she got the first indication that this is indeed the right place for a fashionable bike ride! Have you ever seen this many bikes??
We got on our way in our trusted van Bessy. Unfortunately we have far too much stuff with us to be able to go by bike… After our obligatory detour/panic/scenic route we arrived at the site and got our stall set up. It was a lovely day and the sun was shining. Rather handy really as we were outside! Dread to think what it would have been like had it been raining!
The fashion show featured a whole lot of Cambridge raincoats, some great shoes and vintage dresses and a couple of knitwear pieces modeled by a lovely girl with gorgeous dreads. She really wore Lillian and Adie well!
We met so many nice people during the day, ate some amazing cake and drank a few cups of tea before we packed up and headed home and back to work. It really felt like a bit of a holiday hanging out with friends in the park!
