We specialise in fashionable knitting kits and are the Field-to-Fashion Company that offers you an exclusive collection of garments to make from 100% pure British alpaca yarn.
Every one of our designs makes the best of the natural drape and lustre of alpaca fibre and each is named after one of our animals. Our knitting kits include the exclusive design, 100% pure alpaca yarn, washing instructions, plus a photograph of, and biography from, the alpaca the pattern is named after. The kit is packed in a natural cotton shopping bag so you can easily keep everything together.
Raw fleece is provided by alpacas living in Cambridgeshire and Kent (some from our own herd), then it is prepared in house before being milled in the UK. These are truly British products; the yarn is washed but not dyed, so has a low environmental impact and even our packaging is recycled!
If you're a spinner, we offer high quality raw fleece, (which is beautiful to touch and contains no lanolin); if you are trying to use up your existing wool, our designs can be bought separately and if you have a project you want to use alpaca fibre for, our yarn can be bought by the ball.
We also offer knitting workshops. In 2011 the workshops will take place at Anglesey Abbey, a fabulous National Trust property set in 104 acres of gardens and woodland. As well as the knitting kit, you get one-to-one tuition, lunch in the restaurant - sourced from local and organic produce, plus refreshments throughout the day. Finally, you have the opportunity to meet some of the original fibre providers and feed them an apple!

Alpaca yarn
Alpaca yarn is one of the most luxurious in the world. Each individual strand acts in the same way as a duvet, so although lightweight, it is incre-dibly elastic and warm. We have the yarn washed but not dyed so each batch will have its own unique colour, created by the animals sheared in that year.
